The Arts Etude program at Lindsay Place High School prepares students with highly diverse musical backgrounds for successful CEGEP level music study and potential professional careers. Our curriculum is firmly rooted in the traditions of classical music and jazz, and is comprised of high-level private study, academic music courses, ensemble experience, and performance opportunities. Private instruction is an essential piece of a young musician’s growth. The Music Department has assembled an experienced and creative faculty who help our students move forward on their individual paths. Each student has weekly private lessons on his or her principal instrument and, in turn, prepares for performances and recitals, competitions, and ultimately, CEGEP auditions. Students are also placed in several ensembles and these groups participate in a year-round series of performances.
